A little while ago, I stumbled upon a fabulous little game demo for something called Auditorium, and the full version has finally been released.

Now normally I'm all about pimpin' my own stuff, but you like a good puzzle game, go have a look. : D

Today was meant to be 100%.

I was meant to ride to Uni, drop off my final assessment stuff, reset my portfolio on the computer and head home for a day of lazing about.

Instead, some arse cut me off me the Charles/Newcastle St lights, I locked up my back brakes, ended sideways then under my bike.

Now I have pain and an insurance claim to deal with.

*sigh*

Anyway, I'll stop whinging and get on with life now.

for those of you that are into this kind of thing, the graduating design student exhibition opens this Thursday night at 7:30pm.

It's open to all, so come along and "ooh" & "ahh" at the appropriate moments to help us all feel like we haven't wasted the last few years.

finished this earlier tonight and figured someone out there might like to have a look

boy it's been a while since I posted anything.

Today marked the beginning of the end. The first of the "last classes".

This afternoon we wrapped up the game unit. Don't ask to see what we produced. It's rubbish compared to what Simon and I did with the first level over the winter break.

...but more importantly today marks the start of the two-week lead up to the end of my studies, finishing with the Graduate Exhibition on November 13th. It's all cool and scary and happy and sad.

In other news, I missed on the job I applied for. Apparently even companies that were feeling pretty comfortable with a economic issues the world is facing can get scared. They withdrew the positions. It's good and bad. I don't feel the personal afront that comes from being an unsuccessful candidate, but I also don't know if I was good enough.

Anyway, I'll have some cool work to show people soon, though if you want instant gratification you can check out the website I make for Rebel-Empire...

Jedi Boot Camp started tonight.

Man it was fun!

It wasn't that I was getting to play with "lightsabres". I fence twice a week, so I get more than my fair share of the sword stuff...

The really cool bit was that it was new (or at the very least an extension of my ken-jutsu training of old) and it's all about looking cool and (eventually) choreographing some cool lightsabre battles.

I must see if I can get access to a blue-screen set. It'd be a great way to hone some 3D camera tracking and environment replacement skills. :D

I think I just made a nerdy thing even nerdier...

...but I don't care. I had fun!!!

I just got home from the second day of the GO3 conference. As last year, I'm even more amped about wanting to make games than I was before I arrived yesterday morning, but I'm also a little more confused.

My thoughts had always been that I would need to spend some significant time working for someone else and that to make anything that would make money I'd end up doing outside of WA...

...but it may well be that isn't the case... maybe.

I've still got a lot to absorb from the final panel discussion. It's making me look at my future a little differently, but that's not always a bad thing.

I'm sure I'll talk about it at length to anyone foolish enough to ask.
